LOCATION: You may fly into San Jose or Liberia and take a taxi or jumper flight to Nosara, Guanacaste. Once you arrive in Nosara you are minutes from the Pacific Ocean.
DIVING CONDITIONS: Warm Costa Rican waters range between 79 and 85 Fahrenheit. Offshore visibility is 50-150 feet, and inshore the visibility is 30-100. For the most part fish can be speared at depths of 10 to 20 feet, in addition the area offers up to depths of up to 100 feet of workable range. Locations for spear fishing include a sunken steam ship.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: This destination is great for all level of spearos, from shallow shooting of easy species, to expert bluewater spearing of tuna, billfish, etc.
SPECIES ENCOUNTERED: Near the coast, snook, roosterfish, parrotfish, Sierra mackerel and lobster can be found.
At the pinnacles or in the bluewater located offshore, species such as grouper, goliath grouper, cubera snapper, dog snapper, trevally, amberjack, barracuda, tuna, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and wahoo can be targeted.

There is a 11food zodiac for short trips out to the local reefs, and the main boat is a 24ft Costa Del Mar center console boat with a 90hsp outboard.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES: Surfing, fishing, hiking and horseback riding are all available.
